Vancouver, British Columbia (October 23, 2021) – LifeLabs has notified the BCGEU through the mediator that it is prepared to resume negotiations this weekend. We are pleased to report that negotiations will resume this evening.
The BCGEU has confirmed that they will not provide notice of closure of Patient Service Centres identified in Schedule B of the Essential Services Order unless the parties reach an impasse at the table.
All LifeLabs locations will be open this weekend and for the start of the week.
LifeLabs is hopeful that we can reach an agreement with the BCGEU in this current round of negotiations and avoid closure of any Patient Service Centres.
LifeLabs is committed to taking all steps possible to minimize disruption to patients and health care providers. We ask that patients continue to visit https://locations.lifelabs.com/ for complete and up-to-date details on locations and hours of operation.
We want to thank you for your continued patience at this time.
