DEI Steering Council

LifeLabs’ DEI Steering Council is made up of a group of diverse colleagues who act as stewards of our DEI program. With representation from all levels and geographies, this cross-section of DEI champions helps inform and direct our diversity, equity and inclusion strategy while creating a culture where team members can feel comfortable bringing their whole selves to work.

Employee Resource Groups

Employee Resource Groups (ERGs) provide a safe environment for team members who may be under-represented within the broader employee population to make their voices heard, and bring their whole selves to work while also offering a safe space for learning, discussions, and idea sharing. Our ERGs are for employees, led by employees, and are open to those who identify as a member of a group and those who want to show up as an ally to support their peers. Our ERGs include:

  • Multi-cultural/ethnic communities/racialized groups
  • LGBTQ2+
  • Women
  • Working parents and caregivers

Minerva Face of Leadership™ Pledge

LifeLabs President and CEO, Charles Brown, signed the Minerva Face of Leadership™ Pledge signaling a firm commitment – alongside other Canadian business leaders – to advance gender diversity in their organizations.

By signing the pledge, LifeLabs has joined a community of business leaders that are working to attract, retain, and advance diverse female talent in their organizations. This pledge is in alignment with the United Nations’ Women’s Empowerment Principles and the achievement of Global Goal #5, which is focused on achieving gender equality and empowering all women and girls.
