“Every young person in Canada deserves the chance to be heard and to reach their full potential,” said Charles Brown, President and CEO of LifeLabs. “I’m proud of how our team has come together to support Kids Help Phone and ensure that a child in need always has a place to turn. Our team members work every day to empower healthier Canadians by improving access to high-quality health services, and our team’s support of Kids Help Phone extends our impact beyond the lab and reflects our shared commitment to community health.”
LifeLabs, Canada’s leading medical laboratory, alongside our community of caring team members, is proud to support Kids Help Phone, as the top fundraiser for the Walk So Kids Can Talk event, raising over $149,000 to support youth mental health.
On May 3rd, Kids Help Phone urged Canadians to join the walk to support their mission of providing free, bilingual, confidential and around-the-clock e-mental health services to young Canadians. The challenges that young people face every day are more complex than ever, from a rapidly changing world to digital overload. This year, every step taken and every dollar raised ensured there is always someone to support a child in need.
LifeLabs’ support was ignited by our President and CEO, Charles Brown. Charles is a long-term donor, volunteer, and advocate with Kids Help Phone, having dedicated countless hours to supporting the launch of its transformative multi-modal platform, which enabled the organization to reach over 22.5 million young people. His passion and advocacy for Kids Help Phone’s mission are contagious and have inspired many within our LifeLabs community to support this life-changing organization.
Our team’s contribution was supported by LifeLabs Employee Giving Program, which matches employees’ fundraising and volunteer efforts in support of causes close to their hearts.
