LifeLabs pilots at-home and at-work blood draw through new MyVisit™ service making life easier for the busy Canadian

Toronto, ON – March 16, 2018 LifeLabs is piloting MyVisit™ in the Greater Toronto Area, a new service that makes blood draws more convenient and improves accessibility. MyVisit™ allows patients to have specimen collection done in the comfort of their own home or workplace, a service-oriented shift that is changing the way Canadians receive and experience health care.

LifeLabs is building a healthier Canada by providing Canadians with convenient services tailored to their personal needs. A survey conducted by LifeLabs of the first group of patients to have tried the MyVisit™ service found that 44% identified time as being the main factor for using the service, further showing that convenience in health care is in demand.

While LifeLabs offers other mobile and homecare services based on certain patient criteria (i.e., mobility issues or debilitating health concerns identified by their health care provider), MyVisit™ is available to Canadians who do not meet these requirements. MyVisit™ currently offers blood tests, ECG monitoring, and Holter monitoring in the Greater Toronto Area, including Mississauga, Oakville, and Etobicoke.
