Toronto, ON – Customers are central to everything we do at LifeLabs; as an organization, we continually aspire to provide the best services and care to Canadians. This past year, we’ve achieved significant milestones in improving our services and witnessed extraordinary patient care from our teams.
The 2021 Community Report tells these stories and celebrates the teams that have gone above and beyond for their customers. In the Empowering our Customers section, we share technological advancements to our MyVisit program, our expansion in fertility services and our capabilities in urinalysis.
We made enhancements that will improve the health care of many Canadians and in some cases, have a profound impact on the lives of a few. Here is one of those stories:
WORKING TOGETHER TO FULFIL THE LAST WISH
On a summer day in 2021, our LifeLabs contract services team in British Columbia received a call from BC Transplant. A terminally ill patient had only a few days to live and wanted to donate her organs.
To qualify as an organ donor, the patient needed to undergo several tests quickly. The team immediately sprang into action to coordinate the required paperwork and set up an urgent appointment at the City Centre Patent Services Centre (PSC). Read the full story here.
Our 2021 Community Report celebrates our achievements, innovation, partnerships, and our employees, as we work toward empowering a forward-thinking, technologically driven, healthier tomorrow for our employees, patients, and the communities we serve.
