Dear Health Care Providers,
On March 30, 2026, Prenatal Screening Ontario (PSO) announced changes to eligibility criteria for publicly funded Non-invasive Prenatal Testing (NIPT). LifeLabs is proud to continue to partner with PSO as a NIPT service provider, offering the PanoramaTM Prenatal Screening Test.
To align with these updated eligibility criteria, an updated requisition for publicly-funded NIPT testing is now available on the PSO website and the LifeLabs Panorama webpage. Additionally, an updated requisition for private pay NIPT is also available on the LifeLabs Panorama webpage.
LifeLabs is also introducing a new supplemental requisition for 22q.11.2 deletion syndrome and the Microdeletion extended panel for patients who qualify for the publicly funded PanoramaTM prenatal testing basic panel. To order the 22q.11.2 deletion panel or extended Microdeletion panel, the supplemental requisition must be completed and used with the PanoramaTM basic panel publicly funded requisition and is not a standalone requisition.
We ask that you transition to using the new requisitions by April 30, 2026. Starting April 30, the new requisition will be required to complete PanoramaTM prenatal testing.
