Dr. Yasmeen Marbaniang, MSc, MD, FRCPC, has been at LifeLabs since July 2021 as a Medical Microbiologist and is the Laboratory Director of the Kennedy Reference Laboratory. 

Dr. Marbaniang completed her residency in Medical Microbiology at McMaster University.

Before that she obtained a post graduate degree in Microbiology from the All India Institute of Medical Sciences, New Delhi, India.

Dr. Marbaniang has also worked as a Medical Microbiologist in Saudi Arabia and India further building her extensive experience in medical microbiology.  

An active participant of the research community, Dr. Marbaniang is a member of the Association for Medical Microbiology and Infectious Disease (AMMI) and of the American Society for Microbiology (ASM). She also maintains an active teaching role as an Assistant Professor (Adjunct) in the Department of Pathology and Molecular Medicine at McMaster University.
